Family:

-Stacey Takahashi: Carmen and Travis's biological full blooded American mother. Carmen had a close relationship with her mother, but it later became distant because of Hiro's job. Since Stacey worked overseas a lot with her husband, Carmen is left neglected and felt nothing but bitterness towards her. Later on as a collage student, Carmen didn't try to keep in touch with her, indicating that she doesn't want to have anything to do with her after Stacey tried to report her and Travis to the CCG. 

-Hiro Takahashi: Carmen and Travis's biological full blooded Japanese father. Much like Stacey, Carmen used to have a close loving relationship with him, but because of his work overseas, it became very distant. She to bares bitterness to her father, and because he and Stacey did not try to warn her and Travis about ghouls scattering around in Tokyo, Carmen displays more anger towards him. It even gets to the point where she has hatred for him after he and Stacey found out about Carmen and Travis being one-eyed ghouls and nearly reported them to the CCG out of fear for their lives. 

-Rin Takahashi: Hiro's younger sister. Carmen absolutely loved and adored her aunt, and even sees her more as a mother. She is heavily saddened when Rin died in a car crash.

-Travis Takahashi: Carmen's older twin brother. She and Travis are considered to be inseparable. Carmen looks up to her brother and depends on him, but as she got older, she wants to help him anyway she can so he wouldn't have to carry so much burden on his shoulders for her sake. Though she occasionally fights and argues with him, Carmen does love and care about Travis. Carmen even refused to leave him behind after he volunteered to face Mutsuki with the other ghouls, and begged him to come with her. Travis however, exclaimed that he couldn't let anyone kill his only family member, and yelled at her to listen to him and do what he says. Carmen hesitatingly obeyed before tearfully and angrily tells him to not die on her.  

Friends:

-Yayoi: A girl from middle school and Carmen's first best friend. Carmen greatly cares about Yayoi, but did feel bad about keeping her true gender a secret. Carmen eventually revealed her true gender to Yayoi as soon as she entered college and apologized for lying to her all this time. She was surprised that Yayoi took it well and still remained friends with her after. Carmen didn't get to see her much often since she is currently living underground with all the ghouls in hiding from the CCG. She also faked her death so that Yayoi would be out of harms way and not get involved by the CCG. However, Carmen apologized for lying to her the second time and went back to spending time with her like old times in high school.

-Nagisa: A boy who is from the same middle school as Yayoi's and Carmen's second best friend. Like Yayoi, Nagisa doesn't know about Carmen's true gender as a girl. Carmen also cared about him like how much she cared for Yayoi. She also told him about her true gender after entering college and apologized for lying to him. Nagisa forgave her after listening to her side of the story. Carmen did end up faking her own death in order to protect Nagisa so he wouldn't get involved or be in danger, and prevented him from ever finding about her true nature as a one-eyed ghoul. After the destruction of Dragon, Carmen eventually returned, apologizing for the second time before going back to spending time with Nagisa without having to worry about him getting hurt. She eventually accepted his feelings and officially became his girlfriend, later fiance at the end of Tokyo Ghoul: Re

-Touka Kirishima: Carmen at first disliked Touka since she's a ghoul, but eventually gave her a second chance in getting to know her while working at Anteiku. Carmen later became good friends with Touka, and she is the only one who knew about Carmen's true gender. Carmen later found out about Touka being pregnant with Kaneki's child and did whatever she can to help and support her throughout her pregnancy. Carmen even became extremely protective of her, and would grow aggressive and violent if Touka and her unborn child are being threatened. 

-Kaneki Ken: Carmen didn't acknowledge him at first when she and Travis were at Anteiku on her first day on the job, since he's just a normal human customer. When Kaneki first started working at Anteiku, Carmen immediately recognized him and catching his new scent, yet she still didn't try to her best to be friends with him. After listening to his side of the story about him being nearly killed by Rize, Carmen had started warming up to him and later became good friends with him. In Tokyo Ghoul: Re, her relationship with Kaneki is distant due to his memory loss, but still remembers him clearly. After Kaneki recovered his memories, Carmen was able to talk to him again, then later respected him as the One-Eyes King and became his bodyguard. She is fiercely protective over Kaneki's unborn child and his new wife, Touka. 

-Nishki Nishio: Carmen consider's him a thorn on her side when she and Travis first met him in her preteen years. Though she manage to escape his attempt to kill her and Travis, Carmen bares a grudge against him for acting high and mighty just because she's a one-eyed ghoul. She eventually slid her grudge on him aside after he agreed to Yoshimura's suggestion for him to work at Anteiku and had good terms with him, but still finds his obnoxious attitude and laziness to be irritating. Carmen later became his ally in Tokyo Ghoul: Re while becoming a member of Kaneki's new organization, Black Goat. 

-Hinami Fueguchi: Carmen sees Hinami as a little sister to her. When upon learning of her capture by the CCG in Tokyo Ghoul: Re, Carmen didn't hesitate to join with the Anteiku group to save her, obviously showing that she deeply cares about her safety and well-being. 

-Uta: As a thirteen year old, Carmen was introduced to Uta by Touka while having her first mask made. She felt a little weary about him at first, but slowly grow to trust him after he engaged her in a casual conversation. Carmen would often visit Uta when she doesn't have work or school to stress over. Though she only felt friendship towards him, Travis keeps accusing Carmen teasingly about having secret feelings for Uta, which she denies. 

-Yomo: Carmen had never interacted with Yomo as a preteen, except during hand-to-hand combat training. She still considers him as a friend however, and also depends on him from time to time when she needed him for more training and some helpful advice. Carmen also aided him through many gruelling battles, as well as strategy planning with him while living in the underground with all the ghouls. 

-Yoshimura: Carmen considers Yoshimura a father figure. Because her parents are so distant to her, she relies on Yoshimura for guidance. Carmen was saddened when she received the news about his death. 

-Other Staffs: Carmen had gone along with the other staffs of Anteiku, and even consider them as her real family. 

Enemies: 

-Tsukiyama Shuu: She first met Tsukiyama when he first introduced himself to Kaneki. Carmen was warned by Touka about him, and she took her advice by not making eye contact with him or even try talking to him. Carmen felt relieved that her's and Travis's scent is not as high quality as Kaneki's after she engaged Tsukiyama in a fight, but went against him for the second time when he tried to get Kaneki to eat Nishki's human girlfriend, Kimi, while he feasts on the one-eyed ghoul himself. Carmen still held bitterness towards Tsukiyama, but was willing to cooperate with him during many life and death situations to escape alive. Eventually, Carmen got used to being around him, but still feel a little weirded out by his odd behaviour and his way of speaking. 

-Jason Yamori: Upon her first meeting with Yamori, Carmen held a grudge against him after he harmed Touka and tortured Kaneki senselessly. She didn't get to see him again however, since Kaneki straight up cannibalized him, much to her relief. 

-Ayato Kirishima: Carmen was bitter towards Ayato upon her first meeting with him. Though later on in Tokyo Ghoul Re, she started to cooperate with him during their mission to rescue Hinami from being executed. Though Carmen somewhat considered Ayato to be an ally after Hinami was freed, she still felt a little weary towards him since he's still the member of the Aogiri Tree. 

-Megumi: A ghoul who tried to eat Carmen and Travis when they were still in middle school. Carmen held strong hatred towards her since the fire accident that took place at her old school, which caused Carmen to lose all of her humanity in the first place, and she hated the fact that she smelt like Megumi.

-Rize Kamishiro: Though Carmen has only met Rize once, she heard many bad tales about her from Touka. Carmen had manage to keep herself from becoming hostile towards her whenever Rize comes over to Anteiku. 

-CCG Organization: After becoming a one-eyed ghoul, Carmen felt nothing but fear towards the CCG investigators, but later grew to hate them. Her hatred for them grew when they took Hinami's parents lives. Not only that, like Kaneki and all other ghouls who wanted a peace of coexistence with humans, Carmen wanted nothing more than to tear them to pieces for calling her and Travis a murderous bloodthirsty monster for no apparent reason. Though she didn't try to kill any of them while rescuing Hinami with Ayato and Touka, Carmen still kept the urge to do so in order to keep herself sane. She only injured a few members or so severely at some point during the CCG raid. But like Kaneki, she was involved in a lot of gruesome battles with them with Travis, and was forced to kill in order to prevent her friends and only family member from being harmed. 

-Tooru Mutsuki: Carmen had fought with Mutsuki first-hand when he and his team invaded the Black Goat's hideout. After learning of Mustuki's intentions of killing Touka, Carmen grew more increasingly violent and bloodthirsty towards him, swearing that she'll rip him to pieces and feed him to the ghouls. She was nearly beheaded by him after being wounded by his quinque until Travis interfered, saving her life. Carmen was then ordered to go with Touka and the others to safety while the rest of the ghouls stayed behind and fend the hideout.
